Day 79: Something Old, Something New

Ok. I get it. You're tired of hearing about poop, pain, and doctors. Me too.  That's why today, instead of writing about it (or me, or you), I thought I'd show you some fun stuff that just tickles my fancy. 

Below are some fabulous finds on Etsy recycled from old ties, ratty t-shirts, retired luggage, and other found junk.  Aren't they neat??!?!?

Day Seven: Altering Prices

Having sticker shock from your favorite item's price tags? I was too when I went shoe shopping today. Although the prices were marked down significantly, they were still more than I wanted to spend.

I didn’t start talking to the salesgirl specifically to score a discount. I was just making an effort to be social (an alteration for me because I was feeling like staying in my shell).  The unintentional result?  A potential new friendship with another budding artist, some great fashion advice, and an additional $25 off my purchase because she hooked me up. Did I mention doing things differently can have benefits?

Today's Alterations: Being girly and buying comfortable, colorful shoes (above), getting $25 off pricing...just for being nice.
