The hat I wore to my cousin's traditional British wedding. As you can see, it kinda got in the way.
I used to love hats. In college, I wore them constantly; often matching them to my outfit. I had straw hats, hats with polka dots, soft velvet hats, baseball hats. You name it, I wore it. I remember one particular day, dressed in my favorite hat at a Symphonic Choir rehearsal, Dr. Flummerfelt --a man known for his conducting not his people skills -- ordered his Teacher's Assistant to have a word with me about my outfit.
Dr. F (talking to James less than 5 feet from my face): Tell that woman to remove that ridiculous hat (gesturing in my direction).
It curbed my enthusiasm for a while, but it didn't stop me.
For years, hats were the mainstay of my outfits.
Now, after watching the Kentucky Derby today and catching glimpses of the Royal Wedding last week, I kinda see his point.
Altered Today: Opinion about accessories
OMG! I remember that day in choir rehearsal! You were a hat girl, weren't you? Hahaha. xo
