Being Perfect

As I searched the internet for the "perfect" inspiration for an upcoming presentation I am working on, I came across this juicy nugget.  Please take these words to heart.  They were written for all of us.

I look at all of you today and I cannot help but see myself twenty-five years ago, at my own Barnard commencement. I sometimes seem, in my mind, to have as much in common with that girl as I do with any stranger I might pass in the doorway of a Starbucks or in the aisle of an airplane. I cannot remember what she wore or how she felt that day. But I can tell you this about her without question: she was perfect.

A Lesson On Living

Sandy and I shave our heads before all of her hair falls out.

It's hard to believe it's been two months since I heard the news.  My friend, Sandy, knew something was wrong with her health, but neither one of us were expecting the diagnosis of Metastatic Breast Cancer. 

Even today, it's hard to express all of the emotions I have.
