Well, it’s that time again: Time to choose who will represent us as the next president of the United States. Now, if you know me, you know I believe in Barack Obama. I believe in his message of hope and possibility, and mostly I believe him when he says, “I’m not asking you to believe in my ability to bring about change in Washington. I am asking you to believe in yours.”

Not many things can put me in a good mood...predictably. Chocolate, a hot bath, and my husband stand a good chance. So does sweet tea, time with my dog, and some creative collaging.
Recently, however, when dealing with a client crisis and overall "funk," I was reminded of the power of music.

When was the last time you were proud of our country? I'm talking proud, really proud...of our leadership, our progress, our generosity, and our example for generations to come. I asked myself that question recently and honestly was stumped for an answer. I know this country was great once. I know we have done a lot of wonderful things for a lot of wonderful people. Still, despite my 36-year-old memory, I was at a loss for examples--that was until I met Barack Obama.

If you’ve seen the movie “Inconvenient Truth,” you understand the devastating effect Global Warming is having on our environment. Across the world, polar ice caps are melting, animals are dying, and people are being forced to move out of their homes and relocate to higher ground.

As I searched the internet for the "perfect" inspiration for an upcoming presentation I am working on, I came across this juicy nugget. Please take these words to heart. They were written for all of us.

Sandy and I shave our heads before all of her hair falls out.
It's hard to believe it's been two months since I heard the news. My friend, Sandy, knew something was wrong with her health, but neither one of us were expecting the diagnosis of Metastatic Breast Cancer.
Even today, it's hard to express all of the emotions I have.
