Something awful is happening to the side of my jaw right now. REALLY. It may sound like I'm complaining, but I am actually marveling. Of all of the symptoms I have had thus far, I have never felt anything like this. It's in a whole other category.
Category 2=extreme pain
Category 3=surreal pain
This is category 3 territory. It feels like I just had MAJOR dental work done (and I am nowhere near a drill or masked mad man). To make sure I am not having a stroke, I just went to my husband and stuck out my tongue, smiled, and raised my arms. All uneventful.
Luckily, I have Hypericum. So, I'll give that a go and see what happens (great for stabbing, nerve pain...worthless for muscles).
Five minutes later...
I am drenched in sweat, but better. The face pain is gone, but new pain has started (this time in my legs and feet). While this may sound weird to the everyday bystander, it's not an unusual with Lyme Disease (or Fibromyalgia for that matter).
It both cases, patients are thought to have disrupted nervous systems...which means our pain receptors are a lot more sensitive than that of the general public. Couple that, with little Spirochetes burrowing through cells, bones, and tendons, stealth viruses, and other musculoskeletal symptoms, and it really can be quite the adventure.
Still, I've got to hand it to myself (YAY me). This would have had me curled up in a ball in the corner a few months ago. Now, it has me sitting....taking deep breaths...laughing hysterically. Awww progress.
Altered Today: Another 4 hour nap, first day back to the gym since the fall
